Job Summary
Ghobash Group is seeking a highly skilled Piping Engineering Project Lead to oversee the technical construction interfaces and piping engineering aspects of our projects from a contractor's perspective. This role demands strong coordination, problem-solving, and leadership skills to ensure a seamless construction process, integrating new work into existing facilities while minimizing disruptions.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. They will be responsible for ensuring compliance with project requirements, engineering standards, and safety regulations. The selected individual will also provide technical leadership and guidance to the piping engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary focal point for all interface and piping-related activities for the project.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, engineering standards, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate between various disciplines, vendors, subcontractors, other contractors, and the client to ensure smooth execution.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the piping engineering team.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage interface coordination between different disciplines (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, etc.), Contractors, Consultant & Company.
- Identify, track, and resolve interface issues between new installations and existing facilities.
- Liaise with the client engineering teams and construction teams to align on design and execution plans.
- Ensure proper documentation of interface agreements and changes in scope.
- Participate in technical meetings, risk assessments, and constructability reviews.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office products specifically Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
