National Petroleum Construction Company Limited seeks a highly skilled 3D Modelling Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for coordinating and integrating all 3D model activities across various projects.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Ensure the quality of 3D models by developing and revising procedures and job notes outlining construction methods.
- Carry out regular audits to ensure compliance with established guidelines.
- Manage clash checks and resolve conflicts in a timely manner.
- Apply change management principles and incorporate vendor input into the model throughout the project phase.
- Provide independent progress reports on model development from all disciplines.
Key Accountabilities
The ideal candidate will:
- Update and produce model setup and review procedures to maintain model quality and consistency.
- Develop Job Notes for all disciplines to ensure accurate attribute population and correct model build.
Model Setup and Operation
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Managing catalogue and specification updates for all disciplines, including customization of supports and special components.
- Ensuring standard hierarchy setup for all projects.
- Leading clash checking activities and producing reports for PEM's / EM's.
- Tracking and organizing vendor data updating and producing status reports for PEM's / EM's.
- Participating in internal 3D model reviews and model reviews with clients as required.
Staying Current with New Technology
We encourage candidates who:
- Pose cost-saving ideas or quality improvement suggestions to management.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry innovations and software advancements to advise management on new developments that can improve productivity.
- Suggest department improvements to existing work practices related to the model.
- Develop subroutines/macros to simplify operations and reduce duplication/repetitive tasks.
- Issue KPI's to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide regular progress reports showing completion status.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, applicants should have:
- A Bachelor of Science in a relevant Engineering field such as Mechanical, Structural, Civil, Architecture, Electrical, Construction, or equivalent.
- Synchro / 3D Max Training/Certification is desirable.
- Minimum 12 years' experience in the Energy sector or similar industry.
- Extensive experience with SP3D, PDMS, E3D & PDS.
