Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bar Supervisor to join our team at The First Group Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the bar, including managing staff, maintaining high standards of service, and ensuring the smooth running of the beverage section.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bar Operations: Oversee the efficient and profitable day-to-day running of the bar operations, including managing staff, maintaining high standards of service, and ensuring the smooth running of the beverage section.
- Stock Management: Responsible for the ordering and control of all beverage stocks, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained and that stock is rotated regularly.
- Administrative Tasks: Carry out the correct administrative procedures with regard to orders, deliveries, and accounting for bar stocks, ensuring that all records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise all bar colleagues, monitor performance, and ensure that colleagues at all times deliver high-quality service to guests.
- Service Delivery: Serve behind the bar as necessary, ensuring that guests receive excellent service and that their needs are met promptly and efficiently.
- Teamwork: Assist external stock takers in the performance of their duties, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Cellar Management: Ensure that cellars are maintained to the highest standards, providing guests with a high-quality product.
- Staffing: Arrange appropriate staffing of the bars to meet the requirements of the service and in accordance with the instructions of the F&B Manager.
- Flexibility: Work flexible hours to meet the requirements of the service and to cover special functions.
- Compliance: Ensure that the bar operations comply with all statutory requirements, including Health & Safety, Licensing, and Food & Hygiene regulations.
- Service Standards: Ensure that the service is provided to the highest standards possible, meeting the needs and expectations of guests.
- Teamwork: Work in a manner that encourages teamwork to attain targets as a matter of priority and provide appropriate products, services, and information.
- Guest Service: Meet all needs and requests of guests within specified time frames.
- Quality Improvement: Identify and take all opportunities to enhance the quality of service.
- Colleague Support: Offer assistance to colleagues when required, to ensure designated work goals are met.
- Communication: Demonstrate trust, support, and respect towards team members in day-to-day work activities.
- Professionalism: Conduct communication with guests and colleagues in a polite, professional, and friendly manner.
- Presentation: Practice high standards of professional presentation in accordance with grooming and presentation standards.
- Team Support: Assist team members, supervisors, and managers when required.
- Financial Management: Work with the superior in the preparation and management of the department's budget and is aware of financial targets.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in managing the floor in an upscale bar.
- Education: Technical education in Hospitality management or service methods would be an advantage.
- Language: Possess verbal and written proficiency in English.
- Interpersonal Skills: An ability to listen and respond to demanding guest needs.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Results-Oriented: Have a strong drive for results.
