Key Responsibilities- Research Program Leadership: Oversee the research program, including the coordination, development, and quality improvement of research activities.
- Resident Training and Development: Work closely with the EM residency program leadership to enhance resident training and promote intellectual dialogue.
- Faculty Engagement: Assist EM staff/Core Faculty in initiatives to enhance faculty engagement in research and scholarly activities.
- Research Coordinator Supervision: Provide supervision of the research coordinator position.
- Program Enhancement: Lead enhancement of the research program.
- Compliance and Collaboration: Support the EM residency program director in ensuring compliance with RRC regulations and collaborate with the Geisinger core research team to synchronize programs and projects that further the mission of Emergency Medicine research at Geisinger.
- Education and Experience: Seasoned emergency physician with demonstrated research background, including success in securing and leading federally funded or equivalent research projects.
- Clinical Experience: Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience.
- Certifications and Licenses: Board certification in emergency medicine by ABEM or AOBEM.
- Research Skills: Proficiency in research mentoring and building collaborative programs.
