Key Responsibilities:

  2. Material and Labor Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of materials, labor costs, and other relevant factors to determine accurate project estimates and ensure competitiveness and profitability.
  3. Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead, to ensure that our bids are well-organized and competitive.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, design, and production teams to gather necessary information and insights for accurate estimating and to ensure seamless project execution.
  5. Bid Preparation: Prepare and submit well-organized and competitive bids while meeting project deadlines and ensuring that our proposals meet the client's needs and expectations.
  6. Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best pricing and availability for materials and services.
  7. Value Engineering: Collaborate with the design and production teams to suggest cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality and to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  8. Documentation: Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and project documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Requirements

Experience: Proven experience as a Joinery Estimator or in a similar role within the joinery or woodworking industry, with a strong understanding of joinery materials, processes, and construction methods.

Technical Skills: Proficient in estimating software and tools, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.

Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives.

Time Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
