Senior Procurement Specialist

Michael Page is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to join our team in the UAE. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic procurement plans that drive cost savings and improve supplier relationships.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  2. Manage the procurement process from sourcing to contract award, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and resolving any issues that may arise.
  4. Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and opportunities for cost savings.
  5. Develop and implement training programs for procurement staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  6. Monitor and report on procurement metrics, including spend analysis and supplier performance.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement strategies align with business objectives.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in procurement, applying this knowledge to improve procurement processes and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior procurement role.
  • Degree in Purchasing & Supply, Business Studies & Finance, or equivalent.
  • Excellent English and Arabic communication skills, both oral and written.
  • High-level negotiation skills.
  • Experience in project management and adaptability.
