Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Safety Expert to join our team at Al Nahiya Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing functional safety systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 26262 and MIL STD 882 E.

The Technical Specialist - Functional Safety will work closely with project teams to achieve compliance of functional safety systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and performing Vehicle/System Functional Safety analysis
  • Identifying and analyzing system function hazards and/or failures of system function concepts using STPA, HAZOP, and/or other approaches
  • Developing requirements driven by functional safety concepts
  • Interfacing with the Software/Controls Functional Safety Engineer as required

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded controls and software development process, systems safety, and safety-critical software. Experience using engineering tool chains, knowledge of requirements tools like JAMA, PTC RV&S/Integrity, and analysis tool like ANSYS Medini is also essential.
