Key Responsibilities
  • Setting up, maintaining, and operating audio equipment for various events.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing equipment when necessary to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensuring all audio setups meet technical and quality standards.
  • Providing on-site technical support for live events, adjusting sound settings as needed.
Team Collaboration
  • Supporting junior team members, guiding them in proper audio equipment handling, setup, and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinating with the crew and other units to ensure audio work aligns with other technical elements of event production.
  • Training new team members, ensuring they are familiar with the latest audio technology and best practices.
Sound Design and Quality Control
  • Overseeing the mixing of live sound, balancing levels, clarity, and other factors to create an exceptional audio experience.
  • Adjusting sound levels during live events, ensuring consistency and preventing issues like feedback or distortion.
  • Working closely with the project management team to understand specific sound needs for events and adapt sound design accordingly.
Equipment Management
  • Managing the inventory of audio equipment, ensuring it is well-maintained, operational, and up-to-date.
  • Overseeing the testing of equipment before and after events or sessions, ensuring functionality and reliability.
  • Ensuring all audio equipment is safely transported, set up, and packed away according to industry safety standards.
Benefits and Requirements
  • Proven working experience as an audio technician / sound engineer for events.
  • Proficiency with various audio equipment, including mixing consoles, microphones, amplifiers, speakers, and digital audio workstations.
  • Ability to set up, operate, and maintain sound systems for live events such as concerts, conferences, or theater productions.
  • Experience working with VectorWorks.
  • Knowledge of various L-Acoustics systems and their configurations; ability to work with L-Acoustics Networked Control Software.
  • L-Acoustics certifications are a plus.
  • English language proficiency is a must.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Team player mindset and can-do approach.
