About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Piping Projects Manager to join our team. As a key member of our piping department, you will be responsible for managing piping projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Manage piping projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Team Supervision: Direct Engineering teams as a Project Manager on piping projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Apply skills and knowledge of the business to address complex problems and non-standard situations, reporting them to the Lead Piping Engineer at an early stage.
  • Documentation: Prepare project documentation, including project scope documents, design reports, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 8-15 years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultants predominantly performing detail design.
  • Certifications: Preferably Registered Professional Engineer or member of a professional engineering society.
  • Travel: Flexible for business travel.
  • Culture Fit: Committed to McDermott values.
  • Knowledge: Detailed knowledge of Pre-FEED, FEED, and Detailed Design Phases of Projects, design techniques, and application of standards, codes, and guidelines.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiar with all Piping Sub-Disciplines including Design and Modelling, Pipe Stress & Support, Piping Material Engineering, and MTO activities and deliverables.
