Job Summary

Asterix Communications is seeking a skilled Fitter - Pipe Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuity of our pipe-related work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily operations related to pipe fitting to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Maintain, fabricate, repair, and install various types of valves and pipe systems in our yard.
  • Cut, thread, and hammer pipes to specifications using specialized tools.
  • Measure and mark pipes for accurate cutting and threading.
  • Prepare pipe profiles and develop joints for assembly.
  • Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and equipment according to specifications.
  • Attach pipes to structures and fixtures using brackets, clamps, and welding equipment.
  • Operate valves to shut off steam, water, or other gases or liquids from pipe sections.
Requirements
  • 2 years of technical trade certificate or vocational course.
  • 3 years of experience in installing, repairing, and maintaining pipe systems.
  • Well-versed in assembling pipes for steam, sprinkling, heating, and cooling systems.
  • Competent in reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environment standards and procedures.
