OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:

The role of a BIM Specialist for Plumbing Systems is to leverage advanced Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to develop precise and comprehensive 3D models tailored for plumbing infrastructures within construction projects. This position is vital for optimizing project workflows, reducing potential risks, and ensuring the effective integration of plumbing systems in building developments through proficient BIM methodologies.

KEY DUTIES:

  • Create intricate 3D BIM representations for plumbing systems, encompassing piping configurations, fixtures, equipment, and additional plumbing elements.
  • Work collaboratively with plumbing engineers, designers, and other project contributors to ensure seamless integration of plumbing layouts into overall architectural and site designs.
  • Verify that BIM models faithfully reflect plumbing design objectives and adhere to project guidelines, regulations, and standards.
  • Perform clash detection and coordination assessments utilizing Navisworks to pinpoint and resolve discrepancies between plumbing systems and other structural components.
  • Produce precise drawings, schedules, and documentation derived from BIM models for construction and installation activities.
  • Assist project teams by offering BIM expertise, engaging in project coordination discussions, and contributing to design evaluations.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Plumbing BIM Specialist in a design consultancy context.
  • Expertise in Revit software for plumbing BIM modeling; strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Navisworks.
  • Thorough understanding of plumbing design concepts, piping configurations, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Capability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and plumbing design criteria.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Preference for candidates who are locally available.
  • Immediate availability is advantageous.
