About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to join our pastry team as a Commis II. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Demi Chef de Partie or Commis I in daily operations, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and ensuring seamless execution of tasks.
Main Accountabilities:
- Preparation of daily menus, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards and presented in an attractive manner.
- Effective management of food stock and costs, monitoring inventory levels and minimizing waste.
- Maintenance of a clean and hygienic work environment, adhering to hotel regulations and industry standards.
- Collaboration with other sections to ensure effective communication and coordination of tasks.
- Continuous development of culinary skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with new products, recipes, and preparation techniques.
Essential Skills:
You should have a strong background in culinary arts, with a professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training course. Previous experience in quality establishments is desirable, and excellent communication skills in English are essential. A proven track record of food preparation, presentation, and preservation is also required.
