About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior HSE Engineer to join our team at Penspen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE management and a proven track record of delivering safe and successful projects in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HSE strategies and policies to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to minimize hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and address HSE concerns and develop solutions to improve safety performance.
  • Prepare and deliver HSE training programs to ensure that all personnel are aware of their responsibilities and roles in maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical /Loss Prevention / Environmental or Equivalent Engineering, or advanced professional degree in HSE Management.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, including 5 years in the GCC region.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position for international major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
  • IOSH, NEBOSH, and OSHA certifications.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to strategize and lead teams.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver complex reports and presentations.
