We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Strategic Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team at Duncan & Ross. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on mega projects in the Middle East and be immediately available for employment.
Job Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar software, ensuring accurate planning and coordination.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and timely delivery.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying any deviations from the plan and recommending corrective actions to ensure project milestones are met.
- Plan and forecast project resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to optimize resource allocation and minimize project delays.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and update the project risk register to mitigate potential risks and ensure project success.
- Monitor project costs against budgets and ensure financial targets are met, preparing cost reports and advising on cost-saving opportunities.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and maintain strong relationships.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status and progress, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Ensure all project planning activities comply with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies, maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
- Candidates MUST be immediately available and currently based in the UAE.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Planning Engineer, with a strong background in mega projects within the Middle East.
- Expertise in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other relevant project management tools.
- PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
