Job Title: Senior Radio Frequency Engineer

About the Role:

Asterix Communications is seeking a highly skilled Senior Radio Frequency Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our system integration team, you will be responsible for supporting project teams during the system implementation phase for satellite communication systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage small to medium-sized projects as per specifications and on time, according to program manager or head of projects instructions and contractual commitments.
  2. Coordinate and manage tasks required from all stakeholders (suppliers, customers, internal support functions, O&M, signals corps, and any related party).
  3. Assist project teams in production and testing of systems, ensuring that all SATCOM and system integration solutions meet the highest quality standards.
  4. Implement accurate testing protocols and review processes to guarantee the reliability and efficiency of our deliverables.
  5. Ensure accuracy and completeness of handover packages (manuals, test reports, drawings, licenses, inventory, etc.).
  6. Foster collaboration with other departments such as procurement, operations, and project management, working closely with these teams to ensure a complete approach to YGS projects.
  7. Assist in processes built and employ creativity in lessons learned to build the experience needed, managing customers and suppliers efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction.
  8. Assist with SGT training programs, assisting in all engineering aspects, liaising between the delivery team (project manager) and the engineering department.

Technical Competencies:

  1. Project Management:
    • Creating, reviewing, and executing tasks.
    • Leading more intricate SATCOM and system integration projects.
    • Coordinating with related stakeholders to complete tasks efficiently.
    • Holding regular status meetings with the Project manager.
  2. Technical Understanding:
    • Demonstrating good working knowledge of military SATCOM system design, operation, and maintenance.
    • Maintaining knowledge on different SATCOM terminals: Flyaway, Fixed terminals, COPT, SOTM, and Naval terminals.
    • Overseeing the design, implementation, and troubleshooting phases, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality outcomes.
  3. Time Management:
    • Prioritizing tasks appropriately.
    • Allocating time (own or team) appropriately to assigned tasks.
    • Carrying out tasks efficiently.
  4. Client Management:
    • Developing good relationships with client personnel.
    • Understanding client requirements thoroughly and providing technical insights to build lasting relationships.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent; Telecommunications and Electrical are a plus.

English - Berlitz Level 8, IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 550 or equivalent.

4+ years in technology-related projects, satellite communications or telecommunications is a plus.

Military SATCOM experience is a plus.
