Job Description

The primary goal of this role is to provide technical support for deck operations on the client platform. This involves adhering to EnerMech processes and procedures while demonstrating safety leadership and continuous development in crane, lifting, and support service activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate pedestal cranes under the direction of nominated personnel and in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and platform operating procedures.
  • Carry out daily pre-operational checks on cranes as per the pre-use checklist.
  • Report all defects noted during crane operation to the crane supervisor.
  • Able to set and check the functioning of the rated capacity limiter and indicator.
  • Responsible for scheduled maintenance routines of offshore pedestal cranes to maintain safe operations.
  • Maintain cranes in a clean condition, including cabs, machinery housing, and external surfaces.
  • Carry out Platform Emergency Duties under the direction of nominated personnel.
  • Keep a logbook of crane operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must be fluent in English reading and writing.
  • Experienced in operating and maintaining offshore pedestal cranes.
  • Adequate understanding of crane capabilities and limitations regarding offshore operation.
  • Educated to a minimum qualification of higher secondary school certificate or HNC.
  • At least 5 years' experience in offshore/onshore experience and 3 years in a similar position.
  • Hold an Offshore Stage 3 Crane Operator certificate.
  • General engineering knowledge of lifting equipment for routine maintenance and inspection.
