Job Summary

Fujairah National Group is seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining lathe machines to produce high-quality metal products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and Interpret Specifications: Carefully examine samples, drawings, or instructions to understand the specifications of output and ensure that all work meets the required standards.
  • Plan and Coordinate Work: Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job, taking into account the type of material, the required precision, and the available resources.
  • Measure and Mark Material: Take accurate measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping, ensuring that all markings are clear and legible.
  • Operate Lathe Machines: Select and position the appropriate machines and load material for a job, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
  • Monitor and Maintain Machines: Continuously monitor machine performance while working, adjusting the feed, maintaining temperature, and identifying any issues that may arise.
  • Inspect and Test Output: Carefully check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard any defects or substandard products.
  • Record and Report: Keep accurate records of approved and defective units or final products, providing regular reports to management as required.
  • Maintain Equipment: Independently perform basic maintenance on equipment, following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Follow Procedures and Guidelines: Adhere to engine manuals, technical data, and work instructions for all machining operations, ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with established standards.
