Job Description
Ghobash Group is seeking a skilled Tray Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and assembling tray systems, including cable trays and support structures, in compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Read and Interpret Technical Drawings: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine installation requirements.
- Install Cable Trays: Install and assemble cable trays and support structures in compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Inspect Tray Installations: Conduct inspections of tray installations to ensure quality and adherence to industry standards.
- Collaborate with Engineers: Collaborate with project managers and engineers to discuss project progress and any potential issues.
- Maintain and Repair Existing Tray Systems: Perform routine maintenance and repair of existing tray systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- FOLLOW SAFETY PROTOCOLS: Follow all safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- DOCUMENT WORK PERFORMED: Document work performed and report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
- TRAIN AND MENTOR JUNIOR FITTERS: Assist in training and mentoring junior fitters and apprentices as needed.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: High school & ITI, proven experience as a Tray Fitter or in a similar role within the oil and gas construction industry.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of tray installation techniques and safety standards, ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints, proficient in using hand and power tools relevant to tray fitting, excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Work Environment: May require working at heights or in confined spaces, overtime may be required based on project demands, adherence to safety regulations is mandatory at all times.
