As a Prosthodontist, you will be responsible for examining patients, consulting with them to discuss their dental concerns, and taking impressions of their jaws and teeth to determine the dimensions of the dental prostheses to be fabricated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examination and Consultation: Examine patients using X-rays and dental instruments to determine the type of dental prostheses required. Consult with patients to discuss their dental concerns and medical histories.
  • Impressions and Fabrication: Take impressions of patients' jaws and teeth to determine the dimensions of the dental prostheses to be fabricated. Send wax models of dental prostheses to the laboratory for fabrication.
  • Fitting and Assessment: Fit newly-fabricated dental prostheses in patients' mouths and assess whether adjustments are required.
  • Teeth Whitening and Bonding: Perform teeth whitening procedures to treat extrinsic tooth discoloration. Use bonding procedures to repair cracks and chips, fill small gaps between the teeth, and alter the size of teeth.
  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with dental and healthcare specialists to develop suitable treatment plans for patients.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelors in dentistry
  • Licensure: Appropriate state licensure
  • Specialization: Specialization degree of Prosthodontics
  • Experience: Minimum three years experience working as a Prosthodontist
  • Skills: Sound knowledge of fixed and removable prosthodontics. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills. Good hand-eye coordination. Detail-oriented.
