We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Officer - HSE Specialist to join our team at Parsons Oman. As a key member of our HSE department, you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of our HSE policy and procedures across various construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Implement HSE Policy and Procedures: Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Liaise with Contractors and Stakeholders: Collaborate with contractors, safety managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective HSE management and implementation of HSE plans.
- Monitor HSE Performance: Conduct regular HSE audits and inspections to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Review Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments: Review and validate hazard analysis and risk assessments for all construction activities to ensure effective control measures are in place.
- Conduct HSE Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver HSE training programs to ensure all personnel are aware of their HSE responsibilities and obligations.
- Investigate Incidents and Accidents: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain HSE Records and Reports: Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of HSE records and reports, including incident reports, hazard reports, and HSE statistics.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Loss Prevention, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Experience: At least 7 years of experience in construction supervision, with a minimum of 3 years in a safety officer role.
- Certifications: Recognized HSE certifications, such as NEBOSH, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 Lead Auditor.
- Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- OSHAD - Qudorat Certification: Possession of OSHAD - Qudorat certification is highly desirable.
- Experience in UAE: Previous experience working in the UAE is preferred.
- Driving License: Possession of a valid driving license is an advantage.
