Position Overview

Oil and Gas Job Search Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Piping Materials Engineer to contribute to our engineering projects. This role involves working on significant projects within the oil and gas sector, focusing on the preparation and specification of piping materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing Piping Material Specifications (PMS) for both Process and Utility Services.
  • Calculating pipe wall thickness in accordance with internal and external pressure standards as per ASME B31.3.
  • Conducting branch reinforcement calculations as per ASME B31.3 guidelines.
  • Creating datasheets for valves.
  • Formulating specifications for various piping components, including line pipes, flanges, fittings, valves, and specialty items.
  • Preparing Material Requisitions (MR) for piping components.
  • Evaluating technical bids for piping items.
  • Reviewing and approving vendor drawings for valves and various piping specialty components.
  • Possessing additional knowledge of jacketed piping systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a senior engineering role.
  • Extensive experience with onshore gas FEED projects is essential.
  • Middle East project experience is highly preferred.
