Job Description

Position Overview:

The Digital Transformation Program Director at Duncan & Ross assumes a pivotal role at the intersection of technological strategy and client relations. Entrusted with steering the direction of comprehensive digital transformation programs, the successful candidate will operate as the principal liaison with our esteemed client, and will coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver on complex project milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Serve as the principal point of contact for our clients, orchestrating the provision of digital transformation programs as aligned with clients' strategic requirements.
  • Program Implementation: Oversee the implementation of highly customized digital transformation programs with a focus on proper scope and change management practices.
  • Team Leadership: Lead multi-disciplinary / cross-functional teams comprised of project management professionals, engineers, software developers, ensuring high-impact outcomes.
  • Financial Management: Exercise financial control over the program budget, optimizing resource allocation without compromising on deliverable quality.
  • Program EVM and Commercial Parameters: Own the program EVM and report the program commercial parameters to the senior management.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Define and execute a comprehensive communication and stakeholder management at the program level and supervise the implementation on the projects level.
  • Risk Management: Supervise the risk management practices in the programs projects while planning and executing a proactive risk management on the program level.
  • Procurement: Supervise the procurement process within the whole program and take the necessary decisions to ensure selecting the right partners while maintaining the cost-efficiency.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct rigorous performance reviews in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to assess project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and recalibrate strategies as necessary.
  • Compliance and Governance: Navigate the intricate compliance and governance pertinent to both customers and environment.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent; Masters degree preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 15 years of experience with no less than 8 years in program management.
  • Expertise: Proven expertise in preparing and conducting C-level presentations and discussions.
  • Background: Experience in a management consulting firm is preferable.
  • Language: Mandatory fluency in English and preferably Arabic as well.
  • Regional Expertise: A demonstrable history of digital transformation experience in the Gulf region is crucial; familiarity with the United Arab Emirates landscape and government entities is highly advantageous.
  • Product Development: A thorough understanding of the product development processes and practices.
  • Emerging Technologies: A concrete understanding of emerging digital technologies, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Certifications: Certification in Project Management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Lean is requisite, PMP certification preferred.
  • Tools and Software: Exhaustive experience in program/project management tools, like: Microsoft project, JIRA, Asana, etc.
  • Financial Acumen: Wise financial judgement, with a proven track record of optimizing program budgets and resource allocation.
