We are seeking a skilled Propeller Mechanic to join our team at DP World.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and Maintenance: Conduct thorough repairs and maintenance of rudder and propeller mechanical parts, including propeller blades.
  • Balancing and Polishing: Perform necessary balancing and polishing operations on propellers to ensure optimal performance.
  • Bedding and Gouging: Carry out bedding and gouging operations on rudder and propeller to ensure smooth operation.
  • Operational Support: Operate Cherry Pickers as required to support mechanical operations.
  • Service and Maintenance: Service Blohm and Voss seal and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and management.
  • Project Leadership: Perform duties of a Foreman as required or appointed for individual projects.
  • Training and Development: Attend training sessions for activities required by the department.
  • Quality Control: Ensure materials meet required standards prior to use and report damages when necessary.
  • Productivity and Efficiency: Work within allocated timescales to meet department targets and maintain good housekeeping in all work areas.
  • Continuity of Work: Follow day-to-day operations related to the job to ensure continuity of work.

Requirements: The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical propulsion and excellent problem-solving skills.
