Detailed Job Responsibilities

">

Your key responsibilities as an IT Systems Support Specialist will include:

  • Assisting the IT Manager in the operation of all computer hardware and/or software installation and maintenance
  • Serving as secondary contact for all servicing of computer PC hardware and/or software
  • Managing technology/asset life-cycle and ensuring necessary equipment is ordered and available
  • Accountable for disaster recovery and business continuity as it relates to technology
  • Foreseeing, identifying and resolving system(s)' performance problems
  • Ensuring technology assets are secure and well-maintained in accordance with Rixos policies and standards
  • Installing, monitoring, maintaining telecommunications equipment including cabling and providing technical guidance as needed
  • Performing adds/moves/changes/deletions
  • Troubleshooting high-speed Internet access problems
  • Escalating problems as appropriate through the IT Manager
  • Providing desktop support
  • Imaging desktops, installing new software applications, applying patches, mapping drives to correct servers/networks
  • Supporting the Hotel in resolving hardware issues through escalation of issues with hardware partners
  • Ensuring that all Accor IT policies and guidelines are being applied in the hotel
  • Moving/adds/changes PCs/peripherals; migrating data when necessary
  • Maintaining a full inventory of all hardware and software-related supplies
  • Maintaining a log of all computer hardware and a log of all services calls on computer hardware
  • Managing the configuration records, programme files and data files on the computer system
  • Monitoring the performance of the computer software and maintaining a log of performance reports, error and integrity check reports, system malfunctions and solutions
