Hydrogeology Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Hydrogeology Specialist to join our team at the Client of Connect Energy.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydrogeology, geology, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in similar roles.

Responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing CONTRACTOR's construction procedures, specifications, method statements, and fabrication drawings related to hydrogeological issues.
• Participating in surface or underground investigations, boreholes, probe holes, manometer holes, water curtain boreholes, and hydrogeological testing procedures.
• Drilling procedure and completion of monitoring and water curtain boreholes.
• Implementing near field and far field hydrogeological monitoring procedures (water balance, piezometric survey, pore pressure survey, chemical-physical, and bacteriological quality of supply waters and discharged seepage water).
• Evaluating hydrogeological conditions observed, including predictive evaluation using modelling tools.
• Monitoring and reporting hydrogeological activities.
• Reviewing equipment, instrumentation, and materials procured by CONTRACTORS for construction and monitoring in compliance with design specifications.
• Supervising hydrogeological monitoring works during the construction phase.
• Evaluating grouting works and water curtain system efficiency regarding optimization of water balance and hydrodynamic containment conditions of storage caverns facilities.
• Assessing the quality of hydrogeological testing and monitoring works carried out by CONTRACTORS.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and a deep understanding of hydrogeological principles.
