Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operating light duty vehicles to transport goods and materials to various locations in Dubai and surrounding areas
  • Planning and optimizing routes for efficient and timely deliveries, demonstrating strong organizational skills
  • Loading, unloading, and securing cargo in accordance with safety guidelines
  • Maintaining accurate digital logs of mileage, delivery times, and any incidents or delays
  • Ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Providing exceptional customer service during pickups and deliveries, representing the company professionally
  • Promptly reporting any vehicle issues, accidents, or safety concerns to management
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle
  • Collaborating effectively with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Adapting to changing schedules and route adjustments as needed, demonstrating flexibility
  • Handling time-sensitive deliveries efficiently, meeting or exceeding delivery deadlines

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a valid driver's license for the appropriate vehicle class, a clean driving record with no major traffic violations, and at least 5 years of experience as a light duty driver.

You should also have a high school diploma or equivalent, thorough knowledge of Dubai's road network, traffic patterns, and local transportation laws, excellent time management and organizational skills, strong customer service orientation and effective communication abilities, basic vehicle maintenance knowledge, physical ability to lift and handle light cargo (up to 50 lbs), proficiency in using GPS and navigation tools, familiarity with digital logging systems and basic computer skills, flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as required, and ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
