About the RoleThis Regulatory Compliance Specialist position will be responsible for guiding our licensing process with VARA and ADGM, and playing a key part in our global expansion efforts. You will need to have a proven track record of initiating licenses from scratch, experience working with leading crypto exchanges, and deep expertise in cryptocurrency regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
Responsibilities:- Licensing & Regulatory Compliance: Obtain licenses with VARA and ADGM. Develop and manage compliance strategies that meet local and international regulatory requirements.
- Global Expansion: Ensure adherence to evolving regulations in various jurisdictions to scale our operations globally.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks associated with cryptocurrency trading and related operations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align compliance initiatives with business objectives through collaboration with internal teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Stay ahead of regulatory changes and ensure proactive compliance through liaison with regulatory bodies, legal advisors, and industry experts.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and maintain up-to-date documentation to support audits and regulatory inspections.
- Licensing Expertise: Success in initiating and securing licenses for crypto-related operations.
- Industry Experience: Proven experience working in leading cryptocurrency exchanges or fintech companies.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of global cryptocurrency regulations.
- Technical Acumen: Familiarity with the technical and operational aspects of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and related financial instruments.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex regulatory challenges and develop innovative compliance solutions.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Educational Background: Degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
