Role Overview

As a Component Supply Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our parts room and tool crib. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining efficiency and compliance within our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct all activities in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Understand and support Mammoet's policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to all SHE-Q responsibilities as outlined in the SHE-Q manual.
  • Report any near misses and incidents to management promptly.
  • Participate in monthly safety meetings to promote a safe working environment.
  • Oversee the operations of the tool crib by:
    • Issuing tools as needed.
    • Maintaining precise records of tools issued and returned.
    • Identifying and sending broken tools for repair.
    • Replacing any missing tools.
    • Managing stock levels of consumables.
  • Facilitate the operations of the parts room by:
    • Issuing parts and supplies to personnel upon request.
    • Performing goods receipt for incoming shipments.
    • Picking inventory as required.
    • Organizing parts in their designated locations.
    • Keeping the parts room clean and orderly.
    • Conducting regular inventory counts.
    • Restocking the parts room as necessary.
  • Operate a forklift as needed.
  • Assist colleagues in identifying parts and materials.
  • Create purchase orders as required, ensuring accurate ordering for inventory and projects.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy, control stock levels, and report discrepancies to the parts room supervisor.
  • Perform additional functions within the Purchasing Department as required.
  • Utilize and maintain the computerized inventory and purchasing management system in SAP.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Post-secondary education in Purchasing or Parts Person designation is advantageous.

Experience

  • Basic to intermediate computer skills.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a parts room setting.
  • Familiarity with parts manuals and component identification is beneficial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with SAP database systems is a plus.
