Project Quality Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced QA Engineer to join our quality control team in one of our project operations in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic EPC leader with a global presence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reporting on the overall status of implementation of the Company Integrated Management System (IMS) to the Regional Quality Manager.
  • Providing recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the Company Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Ensuring compliance with Company Policies and Procedures applicable to the Quality Department.
  • Deputizing for the Regional Quality Manager as required.
  • Providing guidance, induction, and training to Regional Dept. Managers regarding the application of the Company IMS.
  • Assisting in preparing quality documentation related to Tenders, including reviewing construction documents for compliance with project quality requirements.
  • Maintaining and updating the Regional Quality Department database as needed.
  • Ensuring the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions taken to address occurrences of non-conformance.
  • Updating the Regional Quality Audit Schedule.
  • Participating in internal audits of the Integrated Management System of Regional Departments and reporting findings to the Regional Quality Manager.
  • Reviewing Project Monthly Quality Reports and reporting any open and pending issues to the Regional Quality Manager.
  • Deputizing for QC Manager as required.
  • Contributing to the development of Project-specific IMS documents according to Contract requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Civil / Electrical Engineering.
  • Certification and registration as an IRCA Lead Auditor in ISO 9001.
  • At least 12 years of experience as a QA Engineer with a strong background in O&G projects (previous experience with ADNOC projects is an added advantage).
  • Strong knowledge and experience in leading Project Quality audits.
  • Excellent coordination and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in preparing QA documentation – Manual, procedures, audit checklists, audit reports, hands-on experience in performing quality audits, and adeptness in NCR disposition and closeout. Ability to review quality metrics and evaluate performance data. Familiarity with preparing and submitting Quality reports.

You will be someone who:

  • Demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Can work both independently and as a team leader, exercising professional judgment and coordination skills.
  • Has excellent organizational skills.
