Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Material Handler to join our team at Wood. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials and inventory within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Management: Assist operations and maintenance departments in locating and retrieving materials and parts from the warehouse and storage areas.
  • Inventory Control: Coordinate and perform physical movement and paper transfer of materials to meet operational schedules.
  • Receiving and Processing: Receive materials into the plant and warehouse physically and in applicable systems daily.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate equipment to assist with loadouts or offloads in the warehouse and plant.
  • Record Keeping: Compile and maintain manual or computerized records, such as yard logs, material transfers, available inventory, status, and location of materials.
  • Inventory Maintenance: Responsible for adding, subtracting, and maintaining part inventory in CMMS, and adjusting BOM for work orders and PMs in CMMS.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure safe work practices are always implemented and report any safety issues or problems to the supervisor and EHS Manager immediately.
  • Support and Accountability: Support all company safety, health, environmental, and quality programs and policies, and be accountable for the performance of these programs in the Maintenance Department.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Education required.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of maintenance experience required; plant maintenance preferred.
  • Skills: Must be accurate, accountable, and detail-oriented team player. Need general parts, electrical, and mechanical equipment understanding. Ability to learn process equipment, equipment locations, and plant orientation to identify parts and equipment as needed.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in adverse weather conditions if needed. Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as needed for plant outages and scheduled planned maintenance.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving: Good communication skills and problem-solving ability.
