About the Position

This role is responsible for overseeing daily shipping and logistics operations, ensuring compliance with UAE customs and shipping regulations, and coordinating shipments from origin to destination.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage import/export operations, focusing on the timely and accurate completion of shipping documentation and customs clearance.
  2. Collaborate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and customs authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.
  3. Optimize routes to reduce costs and ensure the smooth movement of goods.
  4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Mirsal 2, DP World, Dubai Trade, UAE customs rules, tariffs, taxes, and import/export restrictions.

Requirements:

  1. Experience in shipping and logistics operations, preferably in the UAE's import/export sector.
  2. Familiarity with UAE customs regulations, including Calogi, ACS (SAS Portal), EK system, ADM bookings, and the Dubai Trade portal.
  3. Dangerous Goods Certification (e.g., IATA, IMDG) is highly recommended.
  4. Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
  6. Proficiency in logistics software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
