Wood Plc is seeking a highly experienced Senior Piping Engineer to join our Project Management team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing Piping Engineering work carried out by EPC contractors for major greenfield and brownfield projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Piping Engineering team in the development of safe, cost-effective, and constructible Piping designs.
- Provide technical leadership and decision-making for Piping engineering work carried out by EPC contractors.
- Participate in project safety and design reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with construction management to eliminate hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
- Manage change processes, including review of proposals and implementation of solutions.
- Provide technical assistance and direction to EPC contractors during construction and installation activities.
- Liaise with the Client's Senior Management to report on Piping Engineering progress and issues.
- Troubleshoot Piping design issues, identifying and resolving problems with engineering and/or fabricators.
- Attend daily/weekly engineering progress meetings and generate status reports as required.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven capability in an engineering design company.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and a previous track record of successfully working in a PMC team.
- Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience of working for Wood Plc is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
