We are seeking a highly experienced Rotating Equipment Engineering Lead to join our team at NES Fircroft. As a key member of our engineering staff, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of high-level technical expertise in Rotating equipment engineering, ensuring the highest level of engineering integrity and reliability, and safety and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Rotating Equipment Engineering: Oversee the implementation of Rotating equipment engineering during the Detailed Engineering phase, covering all aspects of design to ensure technical and safety objectives are met within the approved scope, budget, and schedule.
- Manage Contractor Activities: Manage the Contractor's Rotating Engineering activities, including validation of personnel numbers, qualifications, and experience; usage of appropriate design tools, including computer hardware and software; adherence to all project objectives, requirements, specifications, standards, procedures, execution plans, and design verification processes.
- Provide Guidance and Support: Provide guidance to the Contractors to complete the design as per project specifications in a timely manner and provide clear instructions. Lead rotating equipment design and coordination amongst other disciplines, reviewing and processing work activities, discussing and determining priorities in conjunction with Engineering Manager and other disciplines to ensure no delays to the project schedule.
- Participate in Technical Reviews: Participate in all required engineering and safety reviews (3D model, HAZOP / HAZID, TRA, etc.) and in the set-up of actions list and close-out process.
- Support Project Management: Support the preparation and participate in Project technical reviews, providing answers, and ensuring timely implementation of the findings.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable laws and regulations, international codes and standards, and HSE Standards.
- Contribute to Studies: Contribute to studies leading to technical decision making and issue recommendations to the Project Management.
- Minimum 10 years' experience: Minimum 10 years' experience working in the field of rotating equipment at FEED/EPC stages in the oil and gas industry with exposure to onshore oil and gas processing facilities in greenfield and brownfield projects with at least 6 years at a lead position.
- Rotating Equipment Expertise: In-depth knowledge and understanding of rotating equipment including auxiliaries and controls based on industry best practices. Ability to ensure maximum reliability and availability of all rotating equipment in the early design stage.
- Leadership and Communication Skills: Good communication skills and experience in leading detailed design, sizing & selection for rotating equipment (compressors, pumps, turbines, etc.).
- Cultural Competence: Experienced in a multicultural environment, resilience, and capacity to adapt to different environments.
