Ghobash Group is seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer - Electrical and Instrumentation to join our team. As a key member of our Industrial Automation department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for our clients in the Oil & Gas sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automation solutions for industrial processes, including PLC programming and HMI/SCADA configuration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and specifications for automation projects.
- Troubleshoot and debug automation systems to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct testing and validation of automation systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
- Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance and operations teams regarding automation systems.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in automation technology and recommend improvements to existing systems.
- Create and maintain documentation for automation systems, including program logic, wiring diagrams, and user manuals.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering with sufficient experience (05+ years) in the related field/industry.
- Affinity and familiarity with Engineering, Procurement, and Contracting aspects in the business, both onshore and offshore, power & utility.
Experience Requirements
- Experience level: 03-04 years
- Experience in industrial automation engineering and system integration.
- Excellent knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) code.
- Has a working knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
- HSE compliance and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
Skills & Professional Requirements
- Knowledge of PLC programming languages such as ladder logic, structure text, and function block diagram.
- Proficiency in programming software platforms such as SIEMENS, Allen-Bradley, and Schneider.
- Experience in designing and implementing PLC control systems for industrial automation.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug PLC programs and hardware components.
- Knowledge of configuration and programming automation and controls systems involving DCS, HMI or SCADA systems.
- Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols.
