KBR is looking for a highly skilled Lead Cost Engineer to join our PMC project in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Job Purpose
  • Establish effective mechanisms and resources to monitor project progress, implement management directives, and guide the team towards achieving project objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a project control cost control procedure aligned with project requirements.
  • Guide the project cost control team in developing and installing project-specific control procedures and reporting systems.
  • Maintain the project cost breakdown structure to reflect project requirements.
  • Implement operational methods and procedures of project management and coordination, recommending changes as necessary.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and trend EPC Contractor performances in the area of cost control.
  • Review project budgets and support cost budget preparation prior to final approval, ensuring original control budgets, budget transfers, and endorsed changes are intact.
  • Participate in tenderer prequalification, respond to queries during the bid phase, participate in bid evaluation, conduct pre-award contract review and negotiations, and submit recommendations accordingly.
  • Participate in claim settlement by proposing strategies and actions during discussions and negotiations with other parties.
  • Review and endorse EPC Contractor invoices for payment.
  • Verify works completion before signing Provisional/Final Acceptance Certificates, collaborating with concerned parties.
  • Supervise proposed Disciplineal budget preparation, monitor expenditures, and justify variances.
  • Supervise Decision Support Package (DSP) creation, including Project Execution Plans, Project procedures, and other key Project documents.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with project objectives. Monitor and periodically review performance, making recommendations to overcome challenges and meet KPI targets.
  • Audit project execution performance to maintain control over the project's budget and provide necessary recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Assure and develop the project baseline across scope, time, cost, risk, and quality for a development or delivery area of ADNOC RLNG, providing strategic insight and analysis of performance against the baseline and highlighting trends or risks supporting decision-making.
  • Review project changes to scope, variation orders, Engineering and Construction Contracts, claims, and make necessary recommendations to Management.
  • Enhance overall performance of Project Management Teams through interface, coordination, and resource management, ensuring projects are executed professionally, diligently, effectively, and to required quality and HSE standards, maintaining satisfactory relations with all stakeholders.
  • Plan staffing requirements and propose resource planning for projects.
  • Support stakeholders, both internal and external, with the resources required to execute work efficiently.
  • Direct assigned personnel work.
  • Perform administrative duties for employees' periodic performance reviews.
  • Identify training needs and consolidate training and development plans for subordinates, emphasizing UAE Nationals, in conjunction with supervisors and Human Resources & Administration Division. Administer implementation of approved training and development programs within the Discipline.
  • Capture Lessons Learned and Projects Risk areas from previous and ongoing Projects systematically within the Project database as part of the overall ADNOC RLNG Knowledge Management initiative.
