Job Summary:

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for ensuring timely and qualitative preparation of technical specifications and requisitions in coordination with other disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain technical specifications and requisitions in coordination with other disciplines.
  2. Ensure contractual technical specifications are met by suppliers.
  3. Develop Electrical Specifications, Data sheets, Schedules, Load List I/O list, Layout Drawings, Electrical MTO.
  4. Ensure proper communication with vendors and technical follow-up of orders.
  5. Adhere to committed man/hours and budget.
  6. Ensure timely reporting on engineering/requisitioning activities to the Lead Discipline Engineer.
  7. Perform all associated Electrical calculations covering equipment sizing, cable sizing, UPS sizing, etc.
  8. Meet quality and HSE objectives of the project.
  9. Interface with other discipline specialist engineers and possibly project support functions such as procurement and planning.
  10. Provide guidance and mentoring to more junior employees within the team.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  2. 14+ years of experience in Electrical design and engineering of oil & gas / large industrial projects.
  3. Well-versed with ETAP Software.
