Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Counsellor to join our team at GEMS Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic, personal, social, emotional, and career counseling to students, as well as designing and implementing a counseling program that meets the needs of the school and student body.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement Counseling Programs: Design and implement a comprehensive counseling program that addresses the academic, personal, social, emotional, and career needs of students.
  2. Provide Counselling Services: Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students, addressing issues such as academic performance, personal relationships, social skills, and emotional well-being.
  3. Collaborate with Teachers and Staff: Work closely with teachers and staff to identify students who may require additional support and develop strategies to support their academic and personal success.
  4. Communicate with Parents: Maintain open and regular communication with parents, keeping them informed of their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
  5. Manage Student Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, achievements, and interests.
  6. Develop Proactive Guidelines: Establish proactive guidelines and procedures to deal with bullying and other student welfare issues.
  7. Attend Staff Meetings: Attend regular staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Counselling or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in school counselling or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
