Key Responsibilities:- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients experiencing gastrointestinal issues, including surgical evaluations.
- Diagnose and manage a variety of gastrointestinal ailments using both surgical and non-surgical techniques.
- Execute complex surgical procedures involving the gastrointestinal tract, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
- Provide expert pre-operative and post-operative care, monitoring patient recovery closely.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of medical professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and lifestyle changes to improve health outcomes.
- Contribute to clinical discussions, research, and learning opportunities within the organization.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical documentation.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of residency in General Surgery and a Fellowship in Gastrointestinal Surgery.
- Current medical licensure to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in gastrointestinal surgery, preferably in a consultant role.
- Strong expertise in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal disorders.
- Exceptional surgical skills and proficiency in advanced techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient education.
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with surgical advancements.
- Fluency in English; additional language proficiency is a plus.
