Job Description

OnTime HealthCare Services is looking for a skilled Phlebotomist with a valid DHA license and experience in the UAE healthcare system. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients using venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and blood collection procedures, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
  1. Collecting Blood Samples: Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques.
  2. Preparing Specimens: Prepare and label specimens for laboratory testing according to standard protocols.
  3. Maintaining Infection Control: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control practices to ensure patient safety.
  4. Communicating with Patients: Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures to ease their concerns and provide a positive experience.
  5. Recording Data: Document and maintain accurate records of sample collections and laboratory requests.
  6. Training New Staff: Assist in the training of new staff and contribute to quality assurance processes to ensure excellence in patient care.
  7. Collaborating with Laboratory Staff: Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely processing of specimens and maintain a smooth workflow.
  8. Staying Up-to-Date: Stay updated on best practices and advancements in phlebotomy techniques to provide exceptional patient care.
Requirements:
  1. DHA License: Possess a valid DHA (Dubai Health Authority) license as a Phlebotomist.
  2. UAE Experience: Have experience working as a Phlebotomist in the UAE healthcare system.
  3. Venipuncture Techniques: Demonstrate strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and blood collection procedures.
  4. Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients in a friendly and empathetic manner.
  5. Organizational Skills: Be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities.
  6. Teamwork: Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment to achieve shared goals.
  7. BLS Certification: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is a plus, but not required.
