Geotechnical Inspector

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Inspector to join our team at Parsons Oman. As a Geotechnical Inspector, you will be responsible for performing various types of construction inspection activities, including quality control procedures.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• **Interface with Clients and Contractors:**
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and contractors to determine and verify project requirements.
• **Preparation of Inspection Reports and Site Records:**
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and site records to ensure accurate documentation of construction activities.
• **Geotechnical Testing and Inspection:**
  • Perform geological tests, such as soil compaction, moisture content, aggregation, graduation, concrete slump, air entrainment, concrete compression, lines and grades surveys, bolt torques, and concrete coring.
• **Quality Control and Assurance:**
  • Verify equipment alignment and balancing operations to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Monitor and report on the quality of construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.
• **Material Inspection and Documentation:**
  • Inspect civil materials delivered to the site and report on quantity and technical compliance.
  • Prepare and complete necessary documentation prior to inspection of the works and process accordingly following completion of the inspection.
• **Record Keeping and Reporting:**
  • Keep, monitor, and follow up as necessary, and maintain complete records concerning the execution of the works.
• **Project Quality Control:**
  • Ensure that project quality control procedures are used for construction supervision works and monitor them for improvement.
• **Site Progress Communication:**
  • Ensure site progress information is communicated regularly to stakeholders.
• **Additional Responsibilities:**
  • Perform all other duties that may be requested by team leadership.
  • Coordinate the works to ensure successful hand-over of the project.

**Requirements:**

• **Education:**
  • Degree in Geological Engineering or equivalent.
• **Experience:**
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in civil inspection of land development construction works.
• **Skills:**
  • Knowledge and experience using computer software.
  • GCC experience preferred.
