The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Receiving and Inspecting Materials: Ensure that all incoming materials meet quality standards and are properly labeled and stored.

  • Monitoring Stock Levels: Regularly check stock levels and initiate purchase orders when necessary to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
  • Ensuring Safe Storage and Handling: Guarantee that all materials and products are stored and handled safely to prevent damage and injuries.
  • Coordinating with Suppliers: Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to deliveries or payments.
  • Conducting Inventory Audits: Perform regular inventory audits to reconcile stock levels and identify areas for improvement.
  • Training and Supervising Staff: Train and supervise storekeeping staff to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties efficiently and effectively.

This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel is also desirable.
