We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Maintenance Specialist to join our team at JLL. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our commercial HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, motors, air handlers, and automation/controls systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and repair service work on HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems to maintain peak operational condition.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of requests for parts purchase and purchase orders.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned, including:
- Generator maintenance
- Exhaust fan maintenance
- Kitchen equipment maintenance
- Refrigeration maintenance
- Motor maintenance
- Dock door maintenance
- Dock plate/leveler maintenance
- Dock heater maintenance
- Assist other mechanics and electricians with repairs and maintenance of plumbing/piping/tubing, interior/exterior painting, line striping, welding, snaking drains, repair of dock doors, repair of dock plates/levelers, building, and equipment.
- Maintain tools and order supplies as required for installation and repairs.
- Keep logs, document equipment repairs, close work orders, track time accurately in reports, and provide timely and constant communication with the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Maintenance Manager.
- Perform general office maintenance, including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing/moving office furniture systems.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Education and Experience:
A GED and 7 years of HVAC facility-related work experience are required.
Certifications and Licenses:
Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC's (or within 90 days of employment), EPA Universal Certification, and R410a certification are required.
Skills and Abilities:Technical Skills:
Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance processes, ability to effectively use computers and computer programs (including Microsoft Office Suite), skill in use of the internet to navigate to and use web-based applications, and ability to use handheld electronic devices (PDA, Blackberry, cell phones, etc.) are required.
Soft Skills:
Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills, ability to create, modify, and edit processes, procedures, and reports, and proven record of excellent internal and external customer service are required.
