We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team at Google. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Management: Identify, organize, and lead program activities and stakeholders to deliver business, operational, and technical improvements within the EHS domain.
- Issue Resolution: Scope, phase, and lead ambiguous cross-functional and cross-organizational issues, including delivering downstream change management, alongside the stakeholder team.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for program initiatives, ensuring alignment with Google's overall EHS outlook and goals.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and track program performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action plans.
- Resource Management: Manage program budget and resources, maintain knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in EHS.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 7 years of experience in environmental health and safety program management, project management, or a related field. 5 years of experience in program or project management. Experience in managing EHS operations at multiple sites.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time as needed.
