We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Independent Food Company.

This individual will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and systems within our facilities meet health and safety standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Regular maintenance and repair of electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, and other systems to prevent malfunctions and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Setting up and maintaining ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks
  • Maintenance of heating and plumbing systems to guarantee their proper functioning
  • Inspection and repair of alarm systems (fire, protection) as scheduled
  • Performance of manual repairs when necessary (e.g., fixing locks, replacing windows)
  • Pest control activities, such as spraying insecticides
  • General upkeep procedures (e.g., landscaping) and other tasks assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician
  • Understanding of electrical, electronic, equipment, and other systems
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
  • Good physical condition and strength, with a willingness to work overtime
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or relevant field will be a plus
