- You will be working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to assess mental health conditions, developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
- Diagnose mental health disorders using established criteria and stay up-to-date on advances in psychiatric practices through ongoing professional development.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and general practitioners, to coordinate comprehensive care and ensure access to necessary treatments.
- Prescribe medications and manage side effects, while also providing psychotherapy and other therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and family therapy.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- A medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited institution, along with completion of a residency program in psychiatry and board certification in the field.
- A valid medical license, proficiency in various therapeutic modalities, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to differentiate between psychological conditions and other physical health conditions that might mimic psychiatric disorders.
- Expertise in diagnosing and treating common mental health conditions, such as anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders.
