Job Summary:
The Head of Logistics Operations will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Distribution Centres (DCs) for Majid Al Futtaim Retail. This includes ensuring the accuracy and consistency of financial reports, controlling the P&L of DCs, and overseeing the preparation of orders and invoicing of stores.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Review financial reports for accuracy and consistency, and control the P&L of DCs to ensure accurate monthly submissions to the Finance Department.
- Logistics Operations: Oversee the proper preparation of orders and invoicing of stores, ensuring efficient and effective operations with no negative impact on stores, while maintaining inventory according to company financial procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead the deployment of continuous improvement actions, lean and 5S methods in all DCs, to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Customer Service: Ensure the operation delivers excellent customer service by developing efficient working relationships between teams at the Distribution Centre and business stakeholders.
- Leadership: Practice company values and guarantee their respect and follow-up by department team members, and provide mentorship for developing a continuous talent pipeline for key roles.
- Operational Planning: Plan for current and future demands, including manpower requirements and operational resources, to meet prescribed productivity and service goals.
- Compliance: Be a role model and ensure the application of Majid Al Futtaim Retail corporate policies, and guarantee the laws, regulations, and cultural practices of the operating countries are followed and respected.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics operations, with a proven track record of success in managing teams and improving efficiency.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies to improve operations and customer service.
