Job Description

The Estimation Manager- Large Civil Contractor is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the entire estimation process. This encompasses ensuring the accuracy and competitiveness of cost proposals for tenders.

This role involves coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, and consultants to finalize pricing strategies, risk assessments, and value engineering proposals. The Estimation Manager ensures that all estimates align with company standards, client requirements, and project feasibility.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Review tender documents, including scope of work, drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
  • Gather necessary information and clarify discrepancies with consultants.
  • Approve Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to resolve ambiguities in tender documents.
  • Supervise the estimation team, ensuring accurate pricing of tenders using CCS software.
  • Review and validate cost comparison statements for subcontractors and suppliers prepared by Quantity Surveyors and Chief Estimator.
  • Identify risks related to cost deviations and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Lead value engineering efforts to optimize costs while meeting client and consultant requirements.
  • Recommend alternative construction methods, materials, and subcontractors to improve project feasibility.
  • Finalize the Tender Submission Letter, Qualifications, and Clarifications in coordination with the Chief Estimator.
  • Oversee the preparation of the final tender submission, ensuring compliance with client expectations.
  • Negotiate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve the best pricing and contractual terms.
  • Manage and mentor the estimation team, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Director – Estimation to develop strategic pricing approaches for major projects.
  • Maintain adherence to industry standards, best practices, and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in civil, residential, high-rise, mixed-use buildings, villas, and industrial projects.
  • Years of Experience: 15-20 years (Pre-Contract)

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in civil or architectural engineering

Employment Type: Full-time
