About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team at Vngrs. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems to ensure optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Design and Implementation: Design and implement database systems to meet the business needs of Vngrs, including on-prem and cloud solutions.
  • Database Administration: Administer, maintain, secure, and improve performance for existing databases (Oracle, MSSQL, AWS RDS MySQL) on-premises and cloud solutions.
  • Replication and Cloning: Perform administration and maintenance operations of Goldengate replications and execute clone operations for development and test database environments.
  • Monitoring and Support: Monitor system resources, create necessary alarm mechanisms, and provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
  • Collaboration and Problem-Solving: Collaborate with software teams on performance issues, proactively producing solutions such as partitioning, SQL tuning, etc.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduated from Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or similar departments.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in Oracle and MSSQL database administration.
  • Skills: Good knowledge and experience in ASM, RAC, Dataguard, EM, and proficiency in Solaris/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
  • Additional Skills: Familiarity with new technologies such as NoSQL, Redis, Memcached, Elasticsearch, and AWS cloud technologies and services.
  • Language: Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
