Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining 3D mechanical models using Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks. This role involves close coordination with engineers, architects, and other BIM professionals to ensure accurate representation and integration of mechanical systems in construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and modify 3D BIM models for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Ensure models comply with project specifications, local codes, and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical) to avoid clashes using Navisworks or other clash detection tools.
  • Extract and update 2D drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings from BIM models.
  • Assist in creating BIM families, templates, and parametric models for mechanical components.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and BOQ generation from BIM models.
  • Maintain an organized BIM database and update revisions as per project requirements.
  • Collaborate with MEP engineers and site teams to resolve design and installation issues.
  • Ensure proper file management, version control, and documentation as per BIM execution plans.
  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings with project stakeholders.
