Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Systems Specialist to join our Johnson Controls, Inc. team. As a key member of our Middle East and Africa Design and Engineering team, you will play a critical role in supporting pre and post sales activities related to design, supply, and build of Industrial Refrigeration Systems and iREF equipment project opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Sales Activities:
    • Review tender documentation provided by customers or consultants
    • Conduct site surveys to gather information on existing refrigeration systems
    • Attend technical meetings with customers or consultants to discuss project requirements
    • Prepare system concept designs, select industrial refrigeration equipment, and estimate costs
    • Develop cost books, quotation texts, and process flow diagrams
  • Post-Sales Activities:
    • Lead project execution to ensure timely, accurate, and profitable delivery
    • Develop and review detailed engineering information and submittals
    • Communicate design, configuration, operating, and installation requirements to customers, consultants, and operation teams
    • Review technical documentation and drawings produced internally and by suppliers
    • Provide technical support during start-up and commissioning, and troubleshoot issues
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Support the iREF MEA Aftermarket team in projects related to retrofit or upgrade of existing refrigeration systems
    • Work with sales and operation teams to maintain a balance between customer satisfaction and project financial results
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent through experience
  • Five years' experience in designing industrial refrigeration systems or large complex commercial refrigeration systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Writer, and basic Windows operating system environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with professionalism, cooperation, and persistence
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Good English language skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of modern CAD systems like AutoCAD, Revit, and Inventor
